Welcome to the “east L.A. hideaway.” A large tri-story house with a community and artsy vibe. This house has a ton of great amenities, lots of space, and natural light. We are the homeowners, Rain and Paul, and we live here and share this gorgeous space with the 4 other housemates. (6 people total, including you 😉 )

Located in the El Sereno Hills, the house has amazing hillside views, hardwood floors, a spacious kitchen with two fridges, and a plethora of nooks and crannies where the residents can spread out and enjoy the amenities. We bought this place 5 years ago and have poured our heart and souls into making it an awesome place to live for everyone here.

It’s a very quiet & peaceful atmosphere up here in the hills. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee on the back porch, surrounded by plants & succulents, and birds chirping.

The room comes fully furnished, and we can offer either long term or short term leases. Short-termers receive bedding and amenities just like an airbnb room, but without the large fees. Perfect for sublets or travelers.

ABOUT US:
You will be a member of the household when living here. The vibe of the house is responsible, respectful, clean, creative, and friendly. We are big on direct communication and building a fun and playful community. We balance that with a respect for each other’s privacy and understanding the importance of alone time in a community house.
Please note: For both short term and long term tenants, you will be expected to contribute to cleaning and follow house agreements.

LOCATION:
University Hills in El Sereno. Right next to Cal State LA. We have an adorable coffee shop and meat market at the bottom of our hill. 10 min to Alhambra & Arts District. 15 min to Downtown, Highland Park, Echo Park, Silverlake, and South Pasadena. A car is recommended.

Pets: We have 2 cats, who are very friendly and very well loved. To live at this house, you don’t need to be a cat person, but must be comfortable with kitties, as they are a huge part of the family Not looking to add any more pets to the household.

No couples: Sorry, trying to be conscious of the common spaces and keeping house traffic light.

Parking: Free street parking, first come first served.
