OFFERING SHORT TERM SUBLET 1/09/23 – 2/22/23 – POSSIBLE EXTENSION DATES!
Hi friends,
my husband and I are subletting our 2 BDR / 2 Bath Apartment from January 9th until February 22nd 2023.
Price: $2950 for a full month – utilities included. Extended days can be negotiated.
About: We are both artists, and our place is a great spacious sanctuary for other artists or a couple. It’s a VERY large 2 BDRM and it feels like a townhouse. The apartment is divided between two floors. Upstairs, 1 Master Bedroom, 1 office that can be used as a second bedroom and 2 Baths. Downstairs, a huge living room space and dining space with high ceilings and a small cozy, green patio. High speed internet/wi-fi, TV / entertainment, fully equipped kitchen, work stations in both bedrooms and in outdoor patio. Since I’m a Pilates instructor, I have my indoor studio Peak Pilates Reformer ready to enjoy.
Area: We’re located within walking distance to both Beverly Hills and Westwood Village. Only 10 minutes drive to Santa Monica Beach. A small pet is allowed. Washer and dryer in building. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, as is the building and the other tenants. Plenty of free street-parking.
hey!
I am looking for the right person to sublet my home in topanga canyon from Dec 20, 2022-Jan 24, 2023. It is a private studio with a lofted bed, a mini kitchen, and a huge outdoor deck. At the time of writing this I am considering buying a sauna too, so that may be in before I leave town. There is a private garden, sometimes deer and owls come by.
There are hiking trails to eagle rock and topanga state park from the backyard.
the cabin is totally private, although the bathroom is shared with one other person in a separate structure. My neighbors are lovely, and the neighbor that I share with travels often.
There is an outdoor clawfoot bathtub as well.
Wifi, water, utilities are all included..
I am seeking: a conscious, meditative individual that can treat my cabin like a little sanctuary. I work as an intuitive healer and an artist, so it is important that whoever stays here understands this is a goddess temple, not a party house.
I can only rent to ONE person, no couples, kids, or pets. This is to keep a good relationship with my landlord, so this is important!
Ideally: A woman or a man that can honor the feminine energy in the house. Vegan/vegetarian preferred, or someone that can only cook vegetarian in the home. As well, please no smoking on the property.
Rent for the entire time is 2150, for 5 weeks plus utilities.

3BR, 1BTH ranch style home in small village in the foothills of the Catskill mountains in New York. Attempting to form a common purse community based on the radical and revolutionary teachings of Jesus Christ. There is enough space for approximately 4 people, a couple and two singles. We have a draft vision document as a foundation so far. We come with nothing and leave with nothing. We contribute to the best of our abilities and care for each other as best we can so that everyone’s needs are met.
Recently renovated 3br, 2ba flat with formal living room, dining room, kitchen and shared yard. Bedrooms and living room are extremely spacious. I am planning to inhabit one of the bedrooms and furnish the shared guest room. The guest room will also be my studio/office. The roommate will have their own bedroom, bathroom and have creative license in the large living room! I have furnishings for all but your bedroom but I am not attached to using my things. My friend owns the duplex and lives upstairs with her two dogs. We will be landscaping and building an edible garden with an outdoor eating area!
Are you fed up with a world that is completely dysfunctional and in denial of our complete dependence on the earth and her gifts? Do you want to collaborate with others to find ways to live that make sense and feel nourishing and full? THEN THIS MAY CHANGE YOU LIFE!
We are a newly started, value driven community looking for either couples or individuals to live in two vacant rooms in a beautiful 1924, freshly renovated home in Monrovia. We are looking to fill one room immediately and one in November or December.
The house is a little over a mile away from the beautiful San Gabriel mountains and trails that connect to hundreds of miles of hiking. We are in the early stages of establishing our community and so need thoughtful and passionate collaborators interested in the creation of alternative living practices. The lot has two houses and a shared community indoor outdoor space with a fireplace as well as a huge shed. We will also be building an outdoor bath space. We are in the process of preparing the land to install large vegetable and medicinal beds and establish a community of native/ Mediterranean plants over this fall/ winter. We are making our own compost and hope to establish relationships with local businesses to pick up their pre-consumer food scraps. We also plan to install a chicken coop and run, as well as a honeybee colony. We have two lovely cats and are open to more animals!
We have plans to make the garden an education space and have kids classes eventually. It would be wonderful if everyone in the community was involved in that project in some way!
Below are the values we have currently discussed that are informing our vision of this community as well as the shared practices that follow from them. We are certain that these values and practices will change over time and are eager to collaborate on them as people move in and the community takes shape.
Values:
Community isan essential intervention to a world plagued by individualism
Water is a sacred resource and so try to limit our consumption and employ water-wise growing
Complexity is more operative than simplicity in both understandings and environments
Communication and conflict exploration are necessary to healthy relationships
Sharing food is a way of connecting and nourishing each other
The home is a sacred space and should be treated mindfully and reverently
We’re both individuals and community members and accordingly strive to balance these truths
We strive for health in ourselves and our communities, broad and near, and recognize the interwoven relationship of these different aspects of health
Freedom of identity and presentation is necessary to nuanced explorations of being
Gathering around shared affirmations and trust of each others values and intentions forms a stronger and more productive community than one structured via prohibitions and rules
Experimentation of structures and ways of being together is a central method of arriving at what best reflects our values and serves our needs
Practices:
Maintain and install the native and vegetable garden spaces
Weekly work meeting/ check-in where to discuss what needs to be done
Three morning meditations/tea ceremonies and breakfasts a week
Active structured conflict resolution
Group dance and movement
Shared meals
Seasonal Celebrations and ceremonies
Mindfulness practices embedded in home care
Making medicine with grown and foraged herbs
