Hi All, looking for housemates to join me in a beautiful newly renovated 3br/2ba on the edge of Chinatown/Echo park. Unique aesthetics, beautifully tended outdoor space shared with the landlord who lives in a separate house on the lot. Extremely walkable and close to freeways, but in a quiet immediate area.
I am an actor and musician so you will have to be comfortable with some sound in the house, but I keep a regular schedule and most sound will be restricted to midday hours, early evenings only with advance notice. I am also out of town a lot so when I’m not there you have the run of the place!
It’s an intimate space in some ways and residents will have to flow well together, but I think the rewards are high–it is designed more beautifully than any place I’ve seen, the gardens are soothing, and the location is outstanding. Laundry in unit, all new appliances and renovated bathrooms. Ample street parking but also you can rent a parking space two blocks away from the management company for about $100/month I believe. Two bedrooms available, a master with en suite bathroom, and another which has the largest closet in the house. I’m working out how to price the rooms but I’m thinking $1450 for the master and $1300 for the other. I’m also open to sharing with just one housemate, paying more and having an extra room/bathroom available to us both but I think I prefer to save some money and start with 3 for now. I am currently seeking a roommate to occupy the larger bedroom in my 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment. Located in the West LA neighborhood of Jefferson Park! The apartment is a back building walk-up in a 4-unit complex.
The neighborhood is pretty central to LA. Favorites like The Grove and K-Town are about a 15-20 min drive away, and it takes less than 5 min to reach the 10.
The room is available ASAP-March 1, at the latest. The lease terminates at the end of June. This is a small community offering various amenities, including an in-unit washer/dryer, fenced backyard, dishwasher, garage parking (tandem), and a balcony.
