About the house:
The house is 3 bedroom, 2 bath. It has a cute vintage interior with a very large living room and dining room which we furnished to feel cozy and look stylish with lots of fun art and plants. The kitchen is super big with a ton of counter space and beautiful, custom-made, wooden cabinetry. The backyard has a covered deck and grassy area where we will be creating a perfect space for relaxing or working outdoors with various sitting areas, tables and a hammock. There’s a long driveway and plenty of street parking. There is also a laundry room with a new washer and dryer. There’s A/C throughout the whole house. We are located in South LA on W 73rd St near Western Avenue. There’s a vegan cafe just 3 minutes from us and a couple grocery stores just a mile away. We also discovered a super cute cafe (Awakening) just a 10 minute drive that has a gorgeous workspace with good food/ drinks. The neighborhood, itself, is very chill – quiet, surrounded by cute houses and trees.
About Us:
My partner, Drew, and I are both vegan chefs and we love sharing the plethora of delicious vegan foods we create! Outside of working at events and in client’s houses, we work from home often. Since we cook a lot, we make a lot of messes and we also clean daily.
We have indoor/outdoor kitties that are super sweet and snuggly. Drew is also a DJ and techno music producer and we like to have parties a few times a year. We love traveling, hiking, yoga, comedy, self development, singing (badly ?), dancing and being silly.

We are on Old Topanga Canyon Road. 15 Minutes to Woodland Hills and Malibu, 35 minutes to Santa Monica. Excellent trails you can walk to as well as dozens a short drive nearby.
You have a private bedroom in the house, bathroom, and access to kitchen, dining area, living room, decks, jacuzzi, Washer & Dryer and yard.
There is a large shared private back yard surrounded by large trees, an outdoor living room, multiple private relaxing areas, outdoor dining area, outdoor princess bed, a fireplace inside, 2 fireplaces outside and a jacuzzi. This is not a party house however we host friends and small gatherings. Alcohol and marijuana are consumed on a limited and mindful basis and we do not want heavy users. No tobacco smokers. We are looking for someone who is clean, pleasant and easy going, likes a peaceful atmosphere (drama free) and who would like to be surrounded by nature, with easy access to the cultural and ethnic diversity of the city.
I would prefer a long term renter. Most people stay 1-3 years. Single person only.

up for sublet is the place i have called my sanctuary for the last few years. it is one unit all to yourself in a three unit historic spanish house. i am looking for someone to take over my sublease indefinitely starting in either May, July or August at the latest. currently i am month to month and am waiting to find my next perfect place before i leave this one. so ideally you are flexible with your move in date.
the house is situated atop a small mountain and has private parking and views for days. can not count how many sunsets i’ve watched here. in this downstairs unit there is tile throughout and so so much natural light. also a private balcony right off your living room and bedroom and tons of outdoors space to start that garden you’ve been wanting. unit also has a non pictured walk in closet. all outdoor spaces are communal minus your private balcony, no one will use that. be warned, you will wake up to birdsong!
the other house mates (in their own units) are who you will be subleasing from and they are two single, 50+ women who are very quiet! they also enjoy the peacefulness.
the place is $1850 and all utilities are split evenly between the three units.

the actual only downside it that the bathroom is small.

My husband and I are renting out a room in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place in a duplex in East Hollywood. We have our own bathroom, and there is another bathroom near the other room for your use. Our place is small but nice, clean, cozy with good lighting. The place is available to move in. Our spot includes washer/dryer in unit, air-conditioner in your room, and dish washer machine. There is a driveway with tandem parking (space for two cars, one ours, one yours, we will coordinate as needed, also free parking with permit on the street). We have two dogs (big and small) and a cat.
This is a month-to-month opportunity, and might be short term.
I work in creative direction and design, and my husband is a software engineer.
We’re chill, and are passionate about making digital art and tools for creating interactive digital content for the web. When we’re not at work, you may find us at our desk in the main hallway working on projects. We also like to go hiking/running in the nearby hills, enjoy going to local cafes, and like to find interesting events to go to such as art galleries or digital installations.
