Hey yall! A bedroom (with private bath) is opening in our warm 3BR/2BA home with a lovely yard – it’s a perfect space for reflection, growth (plant + personal), and creativity. The room opening up has hardwood floors, a large closet, direct access to the backyard.
The rest of the house is fully furnished (living room, kitchen, dining room, yard). The house is walking distance to all of the offerings that the Culver City Arts District has, as well as the Culver Expo line/Ivy Station/Platform, Cliffs of Id climbing gym, Co-Opportunity Market, and the Culver Farmers Market. Biking distance to UCLA and Venice Beach, with particularly great access to the Ballona Creek bike path. Easy access to I-10 freeway. Old-growth trees ring the backyard for privacy and shade. Fruit trees (orange and kumquat) are on property, as well as a raised garden bed with vegetables, herbs and chiles, two hammocks, and a firepit. Yard is fully fenced. The garage in the backyard is set up as shared work space and offers bike/surf/camping storage, with built-in shelves available along one wall. There’s an additional shaded patio area that’s great for yoga, work, and reading. Space exists for two cars to park in driveway in tandem, with easy street parking around the block. Central AC/heat. Washer/dryer located in kitchen. Move-in mid-October to 11/1. Rent at $1750/month.
Who you’d be joining: One of us is a cis-male, Asian anthropology graduate student at UCLA, and the other is a cis-female, Latine law student at UCLA.
We enjoy cooking (one of us is fully vegetarian, the other primarily), yoga, experimental music, climbing, natural dyeing, and being outside. We welcome people of all identities/intersectionalities and are adamant and humble in fostering an inclusive, queer-friendly, anti-racist space.

Welcome to our homey Hollywood Hills house. Cannot ask for a better location! We are nestled at the bottom of the Hollywood Hills, so we are only a few minutes from pretty much anywhere in Hollywood, and at the same time far enough removed from the noise and craziness that you can enjoy the outdoor spaces in peace.
Enter the house into a foyer which spills into a large living room with piano and (nonfunctional) fireplace. Then to the side is the bright sun porch/screening room with 77″ OLED TV w/ surround sound. Huge dining room for dinner parties with 10 foot solid mesquite wood table and a fully stocked kitchen with all viking/subzero appliances. Just got a brand new ping pong table. Sonos speakers in every room. Outdoor firepit, projector, daybed, hammock. Everything is extremely well furnished.
Your room is huge and comes with an almost new tempurpedic bed. Bedroom has two closets – one large, one small. An annual parking permit will be supplied for you for free. The house has two bathrooms, one upstairs with clawfoot tub used by you and me, and one downstairs for the third roommate and guests. We have a maid come twice a month to clean the house thoroughly. No smoking (firm) and no pets. We share half custody of a small perfectly behaved service dog. There is a new W/D in the house so no need to bring your laundry outside.
Move in is ideally June 1st, but if you need something sooner, please let me know and we can maybe work something out.

You are: honest, respectful, considerate, reliable. You don’t have to be vegetarian but the house is kept strictly vegetarian meaning I ask you don’t bring meat or eggs in.
$300 more for: utilities, most streamers, mountain valley water delivery and biweekly house cleaners (which is the majority of that). First, last and security. Ideally looking long term till May at least. Have had people stay for 3-4 years in this room in the past.
